Rome

The Trevi Fountain....the fountain of all fountains.

We saw the light at St. Peters.

This large ball was in the garden of the Vatican Museum.

The Colosseum from inside the walls.

The Spanish steps, can you spot Caroline? Hint: she is wearing a black dress.

St. Peters square as seen from the top of his Basilica dome.

We didn't realise that the statue of liberty was in Rome.

We arrived expecting dirty streets and Gypies throwing babies. We saw none of that, for us Rome was on it's best behaviour. It was so good in fact that matt has decided to give it a score of 9.5/10 (It was sitting on 10/10 until the Tunagate saga - Caroline's salad came out with Tuna on it...twice). Not to be confused with Watergate, Utegate, Showergate, Gategate or whatever the next gate is.

Caroline scores Rome 8.5/10, on par with London.

The only things that Rome does poorly are toilets, internet and vegetarian salads. Otherwise we loved it.

We leave for Bled, Slovenia tomorrow. Venice has been awesome Caroline has taken more photo's here than anywhere else. The highlights will appear soon.

  1. Photos look awesome - keep them coming.

Got your postcard today at work, Osama. Everyone in the department says hi. Even the Top Dog says woof.

  2. You do NOT want to know what they did to that salad the second time you sent it back...
